Marianne Prommersberger Bonnoni, 87, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Tuesday, December 6, 1938, in Straubing, Germany the daughter of the late Alfons and Maria Spessel Prommersberger. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore, Pa. She was a six-year-old witness who lived through World War II. She survived the trials and tribulations that many did not. Marianne came to the United States in May of 1962 with her husband and 2 children on the SS United States. She worked in housekeeping for Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pa. for 36 years. Marianne enjoyed bowling, cooking, her trips to the casino, polka jams and eating out. She always looked forward to her weekly shopping trips with Aunt Loretta and especially loved the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her husband, Louie Emilio Bonnoni, her children, Linda Knupp and her husband Scott of Avonmore, Louis “Wege” Bonnoni and his wife, Eva of Shallotee, NC and Mark A. Bonnoni and his wife, Paulette of Saltsburg, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and America. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Justin J. Bonnoni, her brothers, Leo and Hans Schneider and Ollie and Otto Prommersberger and her sister, Hannelore Prommersberger Bugl. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 505 Cambria Ave., Avonmore, Pa. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM with Father Salvatore Lamendola as celebrant.
