Genevieve Valencia (Battistelli) Rossi

Genevieve Valencia Battistelli Rossi, 91, of Saltsburg, Pa. passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at her home. She was born on Saturday, June 16, 1934, in Edri, Pa. The daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary Louise Domiano Battistelli. She was a member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, and she was a life member of the Altar Rosary Society. Gen loved to play Tripoli, dance and volunteered as a caregiver for many people. She was a loving mother and doting grandmother who loved babysitting her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gary Rossi and his wife, Jan of Loyalhanna Twp, Gerald Rossi of Saltsburg, Debra Gallek and her husband, Stanley of Loyalhanna Twp. and Michelle Dunlap and her husband, Brad of Lewisville, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore “Sam” D. Rossi, her brothers, Albert, Archie, Christy and Todd Battistelli and her sisters, Helen Cup, Dorothy Battistelli, Gayety Corridoni and Jean Kokladas. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 703 Indiana Ave., Saltsburg, Pa. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Father Roselo Melloria and Father Salvatore Lamendola as co-celebrants. Internment will take place at St. Matthew’s Church Cemetery, Saltsburg, Pa.
