Darlene "Dar" Hope (Wagner) Dobrosky

Darlene “Dar” Hope Wagner Dobrosky, 72, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at UPMC East, Monroeville, Pa. She was born on Friday, August 7, 1953, in White Station, Pa., the daughter of the late Robert A. and Winifred Yingling Wagner. Before her retirement, she worked for United Cerebral Palsy as a caregiver then later did private caregiving and ended her career as a cook at Calandrella's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church where she taught Pre-Cana classes. She helped clean the many churches that were damaged by the Johnstown flood. She enjoyed going to Thrift Stores, yard sales and traveling. She loved going camping at her family camp in Erie, Pa., especially with her grandchildren. She was a foster mom to many children and saved many abandoned cats. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles William “Boodie” Dobrosky, her children, Melissa Held (Frank Murphy) of Avonmore and Melinda Wojnar and her husband, Bradley of Butler, her grandchildren, Christina “CJ” Held and her fiancé, Kyle Shellhammer of New Kensington, Kaleb and Kole Wojnar of Butler and her sister, Barbara Tandaric of Tinsmill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David William Dobrosky in 2018, her sisters, Elaine Yingling and Betty Kralik and her brothers, William “Billy” Wagner and Robert “Bobby” Yingling. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. from 4:00 PM until Parting Prayer Services at 7:00 PM with Father Rosella Melloria, officiating.
