Aida Shotts, 92, of Indiana, Pa. passed away Wednesday February 18th, 2026 at Moorehead Place, Indiana, Pa.  She was born Sunday, February 19,1933 in Bradford, the daughter of the late Vincent A. and Lena Barretta Patuto.

Aida grew up in Bradford and graduated from St. Bernard High School.  After receiving a B.S in business education from Villa Maria College in 1955, she taught at Forestville N.Y. Central School. In 1957 she married Robert Wallace Shotts and together they raised four children.

They moved their family to Indiana in 1972. Aida and Bob were very active; playing tennis, cross country skiing and hiking in the woods behind their home in Shelocta.  Aida was a long-time member of the League of Women Voters holding several positions over the years. She was an avid reader and book club member, enjoyed gardening, herb club and playing bridge.

Aida and Bob enjoyed traveling to U.S. national parks and visiting their children and grandchildren.

Aida is survived by daughter-in-law Debbie Stewart of Greeley, CO; son Keith (Noel) of San Luis Obispo, CA; daughter Ann (Don) Etheridge of Morehead City, N.C.; daughter Cindy (Dave) Hiriak of Arden, N.C. and grandchildren Kevin, Spencer, Jason, Grant, Madeleine and Lauren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob of 61 years, her brothers Alfonso and August Patuto and her eldest son David.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, 714 Pratt Dr., Indiana, Pa.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa.
